One has to watch out for Grizzly Bear, Black Bear Wolves,
Deer and many other small wild animals that reside in the area.
Even though a good gravel road runs through the meadows, it is still wild country.

So far, touch wood I haven't run into any problems with wild animals.
At one time I did carry a rifle, but that was a little heavy to
carry around, so I picked up one of those portable Air Horns.

Also in this area, people ride their snowmobiles
and have a blast riding the open meadows.

Houston, British Columbia was the winner of the 2016 SledTown ShowDown,
so you know Houston has the best sledding in Canada. So join us
this winter 2016/2017 for the best snowmobiling you will find anywhere.
